LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky baseball contest scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET at Western Kentucky, has been postponed and the Wednesday tilt with the Hilltoppers and the Wildcats has been bumped up to a 4 p.m. ET start time, up from the originally scheduled 6:30 p.m.
The game in Bowling Green, Ky., Tuesday will be made up at a later date, and due to the threat of inclement weather Wednesday, UK will play the game at 4 p.m. instead of the 6:30 p.m. start time at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
UK has won three consecutive meetings in the series with Western Kentucky, the 2008 Sun Belt Conference champion and NCAA Athens Regional participants. Overall, UK leads the series 30-20. UK enters its mid-week tilt with WKU Wednesday owning a 14-4 non-conference record. UK swept the Hilltoppers in its two-game series in 2008, 2-1 in Bowling Green and 7-3 in Lexington.
