Lexington, Ky. – The University of Kentucky’s 129-game home winning streak has been featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not comic strip.

The Wildcats’ winning streak, which ran from Jan. 4, 1943 to Jan. 8, 1955, still stands as an NCAA record.

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the cartoon, which was submitted by John Carpenter of Firebrick, Ky., ran in newspapers throughout the United States and abroad, as well as the website www.comics.com.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not, a gallery of strange and unusual facts and events, has run in newspapers worldwide every day since 1921.
