LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky football coaches began introducing the game plan for Tennessee and also had extended conditioning work during a two-hour practice Wednesday morning at the Nutter Field House.
Kentucky (6-5 overall, 2-5 Southeastern Conference) has an open date this week before closing the regular season at Tennessee on Nov. 29. The Volunteers play at Vanderbilt on Nov. 22 before playing host to the Wildcats.
“The open date gives you more preparation time, more opportunity to study your opponent,” Coach Rich Brooks said. “You get to introduce things at a little slower pace. We also got some extra conditioning done before they take a couple of days off (Friday and Saturday).”
