LEXINGTON, Ky. – UK sophomore Patrick Patterson has been named a CollegeInsider.com All-American as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Rather than assembling first, second, third and fourth team squads, the collegeinsider.com All-America team is one team consisting of 16 players. Division I coaches and NBA scouts are part of the selection process.

In addition to the CollegeInsider.com honor, Patterson has also been named to various other All-American teams. He was named a second team All-American by Collegehoops.net and CBS Sports.com as well as a third team All-American by The Sporting News and Dick Vitale. Blue Ribbon placed him on their fourth team.

The Wildcats close out their exhibition season on Friday when they host Ouachita Baptist at 7:00 p.m. The game will be televised live on the Big Blue Sports Network.
