LEXINGTON, Ky. –
As you turn in your Election Day ballot, those involved with the University of Kentucky volleyball team want to be sure you have all of the facts. See, the 19th-ranked Kentucky volleyball team is in the midst of a spectacular season—and we don’t want you to miss out!
Rather than go into a lengthy dissertation of every incredible detail and statistic about the squad we’ll give you FIVE awe-inspiring reasons as to why you should support Kentucky Volleyball ’08.
• UK is ranked No. 19 in the country. They currently hold a 22-3 overall record and a 13-1 record in the SEC—and are winners of 19 of their last 20 matches.
• Kentucky has won 17 or more matches in each of Craig Skinner’s four seasons as the Head Coach. Skinner and the Cats have now won 20 or more matches in back-to-back seasons.
• With just six matches left to play in the regular season—the Cats sit in a tie for first place with Florida for the SEC Championship. Kentucky last won the SEC Championship in 1988, while the Gators have taken the crown in each of the last 17 seasons.
• The Blue and White like to play in front of their home crowd—they’re 38-6 at home in the last three years.
• Kentucky is vying for their fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Championships—a feat that has not been achieved since the 1993 season.
