* After missing the Alabama A&M game last Sunday, freshman forward Taylor White returns to the starting lineup.

 

* 1:49 p.m.: UK is wearing all black kits, with white numbers, Asheville is wearing blue shorts with white tops and blue numbers.


* 2:14 p.m.: Brad Walker registers the first shot of the game, a high ball that sailed well over the net.

 

* 2:22 p.m.: UK had the best opportunity in the game so far, as Jason Griffiths took a free kick from the left side of the field and after the ball got batted around, Taylor White fired a shot that sailed about 10 feet over the cross bar. Michael Strong forced the foul, beating the defender to the ball with a blast of speed and getting tackled from behind.

 

* 2:25 p.m.: 21 minutes left in the first half … UK has a corner but cannot muster a shot.

 

* 2:28 p.m.: UK nearly got on the board in the 25th, as Strong played the ball from the end of the box and Sawtarie fired a shot that forced a miraculous diving save in the right corner of the net.

 

* 2:32 p.m.: George Davis IV checks in for Issam Sawtarie.

 

* 2:34 p.m.: Off the free kick taken by Jason Griffiths from, Michael Strong fired a shot that sailed the post … Sam Vernalls, Tim Crone and Masumi Turnbull have all checked into the game with 12 minutes left in the half.

 

* 2:39 p.m.: C.J. Tappel checks in for Michael Strong … 8 minutes left in the half.

 

* 2:45 p.m.: In the 42nd minute, UK mobilized an offensive attack sparked by Tim Crone. Crone played the ball through the midfield and dished the ball to George Davis IV whose shot was cleared by a Bulldog defender. Seconds later, Crone fired a shot that was saved by the Bulldog keeper. 

 

* 2:49 p.m.: Halftime: UK has registered seven shots to the Bulldogs zero. Each team has had two corner kicks. UNC-Asheville has not allowed a first-half goal all year.

 

* 3:00 p.m.: UK starting lineup in the second half … Walker, Rice, Muessig, Sawtarie, Strong, Beiro, Williams, dos Santos, Crone, White, Griffiths.

 

* 3:06 p.m.: Taylor White fired a shot in the 48th minute that was saved.

 

* 3:16  p.m.: White fires UK’s ninth shot of the game from about 18 yards out, forcing a diving save from the keeper. 32 minutes left in the game.

 

* 3:24  p.m.: UNC-Asheville had a great chance when J.W. Gallagher fired a shot that forced a save from Dan Williams, who put his body on the line to stop the scoring threat. 24 minutes left in regulation.

 

* 3:32  p.m.: Gallagher fired another shot and a challenge from Stephen Beiro forced the corner kick.

 

* 3:34 p.m.: Michael Strong fired another shot with 16 minutes remaining but it sailed high and past the net.

 

* 3:39  p.m.: Dan Williams made an excellent ply with 13 minutes left, stepping into traffic to punch the ball away and stop a UNC-Asheville threat.

 

* 3:43  p.m.: Less than 9 minutes left in regulation.

 

* 3:47  p.m.: With 5 minutes left Dan Williams saved te game for UK making an athletic save to keep it scoreless.

 

* 3:51  p.m.: Tyler Burns barely missed winning the game in the final minute of regulation, but his shot narrowly missed going in the net after it appeared to be deflected.

 

* 3:53 p.m.: Sudden death overtime.

 

* 4:00 p.m.: UK lineup in overtime … Williams, Hagerty, Lavery, Beiro, Muessig, Burns, Rice, Walker, White, Griffiths,  Strong.

 

* 4:02 p.m.: Chad Hagerty found himself wide open in the 94th minute and lifted a shot from about 18 yards away that sailed just left of the post.

 

* 4:08 p.m.: Williams saved the game winner, as UNC-Asheville’s Jake Sides fired a header on target forcing Williams to make a diving save to save the game. Minutes later, UNCA had several chances and forced a corner with 1 minute left in the first OT.

 

* 4:09 p.m.: Heading to the second overtime period.

 

  

* 4:13 p.m.: UK lineup in the second OT … Williams, Davis IV, Hagerty, Muessig, Griffiths, Lavery, Crone, Walker, Burns, Beiro, Rice.

 

 

* 4:31 p.m.: Game ends in a scoreless 0-0 tie.
