What was your favorite game growing up?

Neighborhood ghost in the grave yard.

Have any of your family members won any significant awards?

My mom is in Xavier’s athletic hall of fame as a volleyball player and coach.

What is your favorite UK soccer moment?

Megan Jones doing the Gator clap after she scored against Florida when we won the SEC Tournament my freshman year.

If your life had a theme song, what would it be?

The Harry Potter theme song

What makes a team, a team?

When you are no longer working hard for yourself, but the girl next to you.

What’s the most interesting thing you did this summer?

Went on a study abroad to B elize with Alicia B rowning! It was absolutely amazing, but the best part was when we fell into a river when Alicia tipped over our canoe.

What’s your favorite smell?

Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.

If your life had a theme song, what would it be?

Don’t Stop B elieving, by Journey

Have any of your family members won any significant awards?

My oldest brother Mike was awarded “the Golden Child” at birth, and my other brother Dave came in a close second winning the silver.

What’s your definition of a true hero?

A hero is someone that is a good role model, puts the problems of others before their own, and will make the right decision even when no one is watching.

What’s the most interesting thing you did this summer?

I learned how to surf.

Paper or Plastic?

Neither, re-usable bags in order to preserve Mother Earth.

Do you give back to your community?

How? I volunteer with the Special Olympics.

If you were elected President of the United States , what would be the first thing you would do?

Invite all my friends over to see the White House.

What makes a team, a team?

A family like atmosphere.

What was your favorite game growing up?

Dodgeball or playing 1-v-1 hockey with my brother.

What’s the most interesting thing you did this summer?

Spent the weekend with the family at Islands of Adventure and Universal; we are like the Griswalds.

If you were Wiley E. Coyote, how would you catch the Roadrunner?

I would set up a system of pulleys, using the kinematics equations and Newton ‘s second law and the change in energy equation that would be a trap that when the Roadrunner stepped into it he would be captured. I learned this all in Physics this summer.

You’re on a highway in the middle of nowhere and your car gets a flat. Which teammate do you call to come change it?

Giuleana because she can fix anything, but then I would call Julie and we would laugh and figure it out three hours later.

What makes a team, a team?

Everyone being there for each other and working hard for the other people on the team. They play for each other not themselves.

What’s the most interesting thing you did this summer?

Well, I was mostly in Russia , so the real question is what didn’t I do this summer.

What’s the last movie that brought you to tears?

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Can you believe that? There is something about those Southern films that always choke me up.

What’s the worst feeling in the world?

Nothing. Feeling anything is better than feeling nothing at all.

Who are some heroes in your life?

My Pops – always has been, always will be.

What makes a team, a team?

The ability to trust, depend on and love your teammates. When we were little, we were taught that the white line in the grass separated our lives on the field and off the field, each being mutually exclusive of the other. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized how much I hate that idea. The team is like my family – all the time, not just when I’m playing soccer.
