Click for full-size image OMAHA, Neb.?Rising senior swimmer Shane Eliason was the lone Wildcat in action Thursday at the US Olympic Trials in Omaha. Eliason competed in the 200-meter backstroke and placed 39th overall improving nearly 10 spots from his seed time.
Eliason touched the wall in a time of 2:05.08 good for his 39th place finish. He entered the meet with one of the final seed times and pushed ahead of 10 other competitors improving his seed dramatically in today?s Trials.
Aaron Peirsol topped the field in the 200-back today with a time of 1:57.05.
Two Wildcats are among the competitors tomorrow. Rising juniors Alex Forbes and Eric McGinnis will be among the field in the 50-meter freestyle.
