PALO ALTO, Calif. ? University of Kentucky runner John Richardson led a quartet of Wildcats at Stanford?s Cardinal Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., Sunday. Each of the four athletes clad in the Blue and White took home regional-qualifying marks in their respective running events led by Richardson?s 1500 meter run.

With a time of 3:41.87, senior John Richardson set a personal-best time that ranks fifth all-time at UK. The run earns Richardson a regional-qualifying mark. The Wildcat shaved 75 seconds off of his previous best mark in the event, run last year in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Junior Jessica Ortman and senior Lavera Morris both made the regional cut in the women?s 800 meter run. Ortman posted her top finish at Kentucky with a run of 2:07.62. Her time ranks ninth all-time at UK. Morris finished steps behind Ortman at 2:07.80 to claim her regional ticket.

Jenna Ortman ran her best time as a Wildcat in the women?s 1500 meter run. The junior?s finish of 4:26.57 is over a second better than her top time this season, also run in Palo Alto earlier this year. Ortman earned a regional mark for her performance.

Kentucky?s next scheduled action is at the SEC Outdoor Championships in Auburn, Ala., May 15-18.
