TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ? Sophomore Kristin Vincen’ts two-over-par second round helped guide the University of Kentucky women?s golf team into sixth place after two days of play in the Crimson Tide Classic Saturday.

The Wildcats shot a team score of 307 for the second consecutive day and sit in sixth place through two days of play. Alabama remains atop the leaderboard after firing a 282 in the second round.

Vincent sits in seventh place through two rounds of play to lead all Wildcat golfers. The sophomore has strung together rounds of 77 and 74 to open play, putting her in position to finish in the top-10 for the first time in her career.

Sophomore Erica Still moved up the leaderboard into a tie for 20th place carding a second-round 76. Freshman Louise Ljungstedt is just outside of the top-20 with a tie for 23rd with a 12-over-par combined score through 36 holes of play.

Senior Beth Felts is just one shot off of Ljungstedt?s tally with a second-round 79 and a 13-over-par total score. Classmate Elizabeth Dotson shot a 78 in the second-round of 18 holes to move into a tie for 42nd closing out the UK team scores. Freshman Paige Lausier, playing as an individual, is also tied for 42nd with a score of 16-over-par to round out the UK scoring.

The final round will be played at the par-72, 6494 yard Ol’ Colony Golf Course.

The host team Alabama Crimson Tide is the tournament?s highest ranked team in the 12-team field. Alabama is ranked 13th in the most recent Golfweek poll and No. 7 by Golfstat. LSU holds the No. 20 ranking in the latest poll.

Kentucky joins Ole Miss as the other two SEC teams. Other teams among the field are UAB, South Alabama, Samford, Jacksonville State, Troy, Stetson, Murray State and Boston College will make the trek to Tuscaloosa this weekend.

Ole Miss, Stetson and South Alabama will start the classic off with a 7:40 a.m. tee time on Friday. Kentucky, Samford and Jacksonville State will follow at 8:30 a.m. and then LSU, Murray State and Troy at 9:40 with host Alabama, UAB and Boston College slated for a 10:30 a.m. tee off.
