MTSU Replaces Akron; Game Set for Sept. 13 at Commonwealth

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky has a change on its 2008 football schedule as the Wildcats will play host to Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 13.

Middle Tennessee replaces Akron on the UK schedule. Middle Tennessee had a 5-7 record during the 2007 season, including a 4-3 mark in the Sun Belt Conference. This will be the second meeting between the schools. On Sept. 21, 2002, Jared Lorenzen threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns while Artose Pinner rushed for 163 yards and three TDs as the Wildcats defeated the Blue Raiders, 44-22.

Kentucky has one more game to add on its 2008 schedule. Here is the schedule at this time:
