LEXINGTON, Ky. ? The University of Kentucky gymnastics team will be hosting Nebraska Friday, Feb. 29 for their Pink Meet at Memorial Coliseum. All proceeds will benefit breast cancer research, education, and treatment at the Markey Cancer Center.

The center also has dedicated outpatient chemotherapy suites open seven days a week to accommodate patient needs. Markey Cancer Center was nationally ranked 46 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2007 list of best cancer hospitals. A constant influx of new scientists, ideas and technologies keeps Markey Cancer Center at the forefront in the fight against cancer.
General donations will be accepted and the first 250 fans who make donations will receive a pink backpack. Kentucky fans can also enter a raffle to win a UK bike and can register to win Chick-fil-A for a year. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by an autograph session with the junior gymnasts.
