LEXINGTON, Ky. ? The Kentucky gymnastics team opens its 2008 campaign on Saturday when it plays host to the annual Blue-White Scrimmage. The meet begins at 2 p.m. EST in Memorial Coliseum. Admission for fans is free and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The intra-squad meet will be the start of an exciting home schedule for the Wildcats in 2008, as five of the six teams traveling to Lexington during the regular season were ranked in the final top 25 poll a year ago. Kentucky ranked sixth in the nation in attendance last season with an average of 2,819 fans per home meet, after finishing 21st nationally in attendance the year before.
Season tickets (reserved seats) for Kentucky gymnastics are available now for just $10 each by stopping by the UK Ticket Office in the Joe Craft Center, or by calling toll-free at (800) 928-2287. Single-meet tickets are now available for advance purchase and on meet day at the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office.
