WASHINGTON (AP) — Jessica Adair scored a career-high 29 points to lead No. 14 George Washington to a 75-65 win against Kentucky on Wednesday night.

Antelia Parrish added 24 points and 16 rebounds for the Colonials (3-0), who extended their home winning streak to 15 games.

Samantha Mahoney scored 17 to lead Kentucky (1-1). Sarah Elliott added 13 points.

Adair had 17 of her points in the second half. The game was close until just after halftime, with George Washington holding a 36-35 lead with 19:27 left. The Colonials then went on a 7-0 run and took control of the game, as Adair and Parrish combined for 22 of the team’s first 26 points after the half. George Washington built the lead to 15 points with 3:27 left.

It was the second-straight double-double for Parrish. The junior college transfer is averaging 19.7 points and 11.3 rebounds after her first three Division I games.

Adair’s previous career high was 23 points, set against Tennessee on Dec. 7, 2006.

Kentucky returns to Memorial Coliseum on Sunday when it faces Sun-Belt Conference opponent Florida Atlantic. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. EST and the game will be carried live on the Big Blue Sports Network (radio) with Neil Price.
