Woodson Named SEC Offensive Player of the Week: Quarterback Andr? Woodson has been named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance vs. Louisiana State, the league office has announced.
A senior from Radcliff, Ky., Woodson completed 21 of 38 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns in Kentucky?s 43-37 triple-overtime win over the then-No. 1 ranked Tigers. He also rushed three times for 16 yards, including a 12-yard TD run. Woodson directed a UK offense that scored 27 points and had 333 yards in regulation ? the most given up this season by the stout LSU defense.
This is the second time this season, and the fourth time in his career, that Woodson has received the honor. He also was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season for the Louisville game and also in 2006 for the Ole Miss and Vanderbilt games.
The game marked the third time in school history that Kentucky had toppled a No. 1-ranked team, and the first time it has happened since 1964.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday vs. Florida. Game time is 3:30 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium and the game will be televised by CBS.

The winning university receives a $5,000 contribution from Pontiac to its general scholarship fund. Additionally the winning play will be nominated for the ?Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year? and the chance to win a $100,000 general scholarship from Pontiac.

In addition, each week one person who visits Pontiac.com/ncaa also will win a $5,000 scholarship for him/herself or family. In total, Pontiac will provide $300,000 of scholarships to universities throughout the season.
Seiber Named ?Star of the Week? by Lou Groza Award: Sophomore kicker Lones Seiber was named a ?Star of the Week? by the Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Award.
Seiber made all three of his field goal attempts and all four extra points in Kentucky?s 43-37 triple-overtime win vs. LSU on Saturday. In the fourth quarter, he made field goals of 33 and 27 yards to send the game to overtime. In the second extra period, he connected on a 43-yard attempt that sent the game to the decisive third overtime.
Seiber has now made 10-of-12 field goals this season, including a career-best seven in a row. He has converted 31 extra points and is the team?s leading scorer with 61 points.

Tickets that have been reported as lost or stolen have cancelled bar codes and will not be admitted to Commonwealth Stadium. Also, UK student tickets are admissible only with a current UK student identification card.
In addition, counterfeit tickets appeared at Saturday?s LSU game, bearing fake bar codes that will not enable the ticket-holder to enter the stadium.
