JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. ? The University of Kentucky men?s golf team slipped to tenth in the team standings at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn. After firing a second-round 295, the Wildcats bring their total to 578 overall.

Wake Forest, who is ranked 12th in the nation, leads the pack with a score of 564, while host-team East Tennessee State is second at 565. Virginia Tech ranks third in the team totals with 567 and Tennessee and Kent State are tied for fourth overall with identical scores of 568.

Andy Winings fired a second-round 70 to bring his two-day total to 142 and tie him for 15th overall. Winings carded four birdies in the second round and is now two-under par for the tournament to lead the Cats. Senior Cale Barr is tied for 29th overall after firing two birdies en route to a one-over par 73. His total is now 144 which ties him with teammate Ben Fuqua who shot a second-round 77. Fuqua also had a pair of birdies on the day after carding a career-low 67 yesterday. Freshman James Kania and sophomore Derek Oldham round out the scoring for the Cats ranked 54th and 76th, respectively. Kania shot a day two 75 to bring his total to 148, while Oldham?s four birdies in the second round helped bring his total to 153.

The Wildcats return to action for the third and final round tomorrow afternoon in Jonesborugh.
