LEXINGTON, Ky.?The No. 31 University of Kentucky men?s tennis team hits the road for its first dual match of the season when they travel to No. 43 Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday.
Kentucky (2-0, 0-0) opened dual match season with a pair of victories on Sunday at home over UNC-Greensboro and Toledo. The Wildcats received quality production from senior Peter Bjork, junior Marcus Sundh and freshman Jorge Jorge who all notched two singles wins.
Also picking up first day wins were junior Will Ward, sophomores Shane Collins and Kenny Hodge. Sundh and Collins paired to win the deciding doubles point in the win over Toledo. UNC-Greensboro and Kentucky did not hold doubles action.
Middle Tennessee State (1-1) sports the No. 16 rated doubles tandem of Andreas Siljestrom and Marco Born. Siljestrom also holds the nation?s No. 41 ranking in singles action.
