NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Kentucky football team reported to Nashville on Monday night in order to begin preparations for the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl.
The team had an orientation meeting Monday night at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center, known more commonly as the Opryland Hotel. On Tuesday, the Wildcats had film study in the morning, followed by a two and one-half hour practice at the Vanderbilt University practice field.
The official Bowl Welcome Party is slated for Tuesday night at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville. A rib-eating contest and karaoke contest are planned for the Clemson and Kentucky players.
The Wildcats will practice again on Wednesday. On Thursday, the team will have further review of the game plan. The game will be played at Friday at 1 p.m. at LP Field, home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.
