Kentucky senior goalie Anne Ogundele has been named to the NSCAA Great Lakes All-Region first team as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

As a result of being named a first team member, Ogundele is now eligible for All-American consideration.

?It was a well-deserved honor for her and her efforts,? said head coach Warren Lipka. ?This is a culmination of all her hard work and her attitude towards getting better throughout her career.?

The Mississauga, Ontario native closed out her career with a school record 14 shutouts in her senior campaign which also tied the SEC record for clean sheets in a season. She also finished her career with a school record 1.02 GAA and finished second in career saves (242), minutes played (5,630:53) and shutouts (20).

Her efforts on the season earned her first team All-SEC honors as well as two SEC Defensive Player of the Week awards. Ogundele was also a District IV ESPN The Magazine second team academic all-district selection, posting a 3.61 GPA while majoring in Physical Therapy. It was her first Academic All-District honor.
