The Kentucky volleyball team looks to extend its three-match winning streak Sunday, Nov. 5, when it returns home to Memorial Coliseum to face Alabama. Opening serve is set for 1:30 p.m. EST and live statistics will be available at ukathletics.com.

The Wildcats (15-8, 8-7 Southeastern Conference) are currently in third place in the SEC East after defeating Tennessee, 3-1, on the road Wednesday night to sweep the season series with the Lady Vols. Sophomore middle blocker Queen Nzenwa had a team-high 19 kills on .457 hitting to complement seven block assists. Junior middle blocker Nicole Britenriker recorded her team-leading 11th double-double of the season with 17 kills and 11 digs to go along with five blocks.

Britenriker leads the Kentucky offense with 3.93 kills per game (seventh in the SEC), while freshman setter Sarah Rumely is one of only two players to rank in the league?s top 10 in assists and service aces. Rumely is third in the SEC with 12.68 assists per game, while she also is third with 0.49 aces per game.

The Cats and Crimson Tide meet for the 27th time in school history with the Wildcats holding a 16-10 advantage in the all-time series. The Wildcats snapped a seven-match losing streak against the Crimson Tide with a 3-1 win on Sept. 25 last season in Lexington but fell to the Crimson Tide earlier this year in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama currently is in second place in the SEC Western Division with a 15-9 record and a 10-5 conference mark after defeating Tennessee, 3-2, on Friday night in Knoxville. The Crimson Tide split a pair of matches with instate foe Auburn and Florida last weekend. Alabama junior Crystal Hudson ranks third in the league in hitting percentage with a .411 clip, including an SEC-leading .473 clip in conference matches only, and ranks fourth with 4.00 kills per game. Setter Brigitte Slack ranks fifth in the league with 11.89 assists per game.
