Over 100 former members of the swimming and diving and water polo teams are expected to converge on Lexington this weekend in celebration of Alumni Weekend. Team members will gather for a fun-filled weekend of events that include competitions, social gatherings and the UK vs. South Carolina football game on Saturday night.
Alumni will also be excited to bask in the fun and anticipation of hosting the 2007 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships in February. Head Coach Gary Conelly and his staff will share in the plans and expecations for the upcoming event.
The entire UK staff welcomes all swimming and diving and water polo alumni for a fun-filled weekend of events, food, games and laughter.

University of Kentucky Swimming & Diving Alumni Reunion
October 6th – 7th, 2006
Friday, October 6th
8 AM- Golfers meet at University Golf Club
Foursomes will be grouped at 8 am, and you?ll have a chance to warm up. First group tees off at 9 am, with seven minutes between groups. This is a pre-paid, event. No walk ups please. Need directions, visit
1:15 PM- Keeneland Racetrack post time for race one
If you don?t have anything else going, make a trip out to the track before stopping by the pool.
2-5:00 PM- Open swim at Lancaster Aquatic Center for alumni & family.
Take a dip in the pool that will host the 2007 Southeastern Conference Swimming & Diving Championships! Meet the UK coaching staff. Free UK swim cap for those who swim! UK Swim/Dive T-shirts for sale: $15 (checks payable to UK Swim Boosters or cash only). Money raised goes to the Booster Club. Pickup your UK vs. USC football tickets. Bid on Keeneland Box seats (4) for Saturday, October 7th. Highest bidder wins. Bids close at 5pm!!!!!! Proceeds go to UK Swim Booster Fund. (Sorry, alumni only. No parents of current swimmers or current UK swimmers due to NCAA regulations.) Check out opportunities to volunteer at the SEC Championships, Feb. 2nd -4th (Diving), 7th -10th (Swimming). Where to park on Friday while on campus? Parking Structure #7, @ Corner of Sports Center Drive & Complex Drive, a 3 level garage. Pay lot, $2/hour. 7:30 ? 9 AM Do you have little ones? Begin your day at Keeneland.
Keeneland is open to the public for breakfast. Watch the horses workout. Get up close! Activities for young children.
1:15 PM- Keeneland Post time for race one.
5:00 PM- UK Swimming & Diving & Water Polo Football Tailgate Party.
Commonwealth Stadium green lot. Look for white tent with Alumni sign. Grassy area between LCC and the Stadium. Buy UK Swim/Dive T-shirts: $15 (check or cash only!) Benefits the booster club.
