Junior quarterback Andre? Woodson was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday?s 31-14 victory over Ole Miss.
Woodson (Radcliff, Ky.) completed 22 of 34 passes for 293 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions, while leading the Wildcats to their first SEC opening win in 19 years.
For the season, Woodson has thrown for 721 yards and nine touchdowns ? already surpassing his TD total (six) from last season ? with only one interception. He has thrown for three TDs in each of the first three games, the first Wildcat to do so since Jared Lorenzen in 2002. He?s also the first UK player to be named SEC Offensive Player of the Week since Lorenzen in ?02.
