BOWLING GREEN, Ky. ? Four Kentucky runners finished in the race?s top 10 Saturday to highlight a successful day by the Kentucky Cross Country squads at the Old Timer?s Classic hosted by Western Kentucky University at Kereiakes Park. The women finished first out of 10 teams with a 33, while the men?s squad finished second with a 59 behind Eastern Kentucky?s 32.

?I was pleased with the way our men and women did today,? said Pat Tyson, assistant coach for distance and cross country. ?We are trying with each race to gain more experience and continue gaining momentum heading into our conference meet in October. This was not an easy course, and none of our runners threw in the towel. Each of them gave it their all throughout the entire race.?
