LEXINGTON ? Kentucky senior Riley O?Neill has already been named the Conference USA Player of the Week and to the collegesoccernews.com National Team of the Week, and Thursday he added honors from Soccer Times as well.

The online soccer magazine called O?Neill the ?Best of the Rest? after naming Valparaiso?s Paul Leitait the National Player of the Week. Effectively, Soccer Times recognized O?Neill?s performance as the second best in the nation last week.

In two Kentucky victories over Florida Atlantic and UW-Green Bay, O?Neill scored four goals, including two game winners. He registered a hat trick against the Owls in the season opener.

The week gave O?Neill 15 career goals, which ranks seventh in Kentucky history. He now also has seven career game winners, good enough for fifth best in school annals.

Earlier this week, O?Neill led Kentucky to an away tie against rival Louisville. Trailing 1-0 in the second half, the Campbell River, British Columbia, native set up Masumi Turnbull?s game-tying goal. The assist was the 13th of his career, also fifth best at UK.

O?Neill and Kentucky, 2-0-1 on the year, return to action on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the UK Soccer Complex against Belmont.
