LEXINGTON — The Kentucky baseball program held tremendously successful “Heart of the Order” luncheon on Monday, the first meeting of the newly formed fan-support group.

More than 160 supporters of UK baseball packed a ballroom at the Campbell House Hotel in Lexington to hear from Wildcat head coach John Cohen as well as athletics director Mitch Barnhart.

Cohen spoke about the 2006 Kentucky team, which will make a run at UK’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1993. A number of players were also in attendance to meet and greet fans.

The Heart of the Order group has been started to provide Kentucky baseball fans a forum to meet monthly and discuss the Wildcats.
