The University of Kentucky men?s golf team will travel to Florida this weekend for one final tune-up before it opens the 2006 spring season. UK will face Florida Gulf Coast in a two-team scrimmage at Calusa Pines on Saturday, Feb. 11, in Naples, Fla.

Senior Matt Kohn, junior Tyler Wilson, junior Andrew Stephens, sophomore Brad Doster, and freshmen Andy Winings and Don Woltman will all compete for the Cats this weekend.

?This is a terrific opportunity for our guys to prepare for the start of the spring season,? said head coach Brian Craig. ?We will be playing and practicing at perhaps the best course in the state of Florida in Calusa Pines. We will also have the chance to compete against Florida Gulf Coast University in an 18 match, which should help us to get our games ready for the Gator Invitational the following weekend.?

UK opens the spring season Feb. 18-19 at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
