The Kentucky women?s tennis team has been selected to compete in the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships, which will take place on Feb. 2-5, in Madison, Wisc.

The NTIC will have a strong field with 15 teams that finished last season in the top-25 competing for this year?s title. The field will include defending NCAA champion Stanford and Big 12 champion Texas.

Last year, the Cats won three of four matches at the NTIC. Kentucky reached the finals before falling 4-0 to eventual NCAA champion Stanford. Last year marked the first time in school history UK had reached the finals as a team in a national-title match.

Kentucky finished the fall portion of their schedule in November and will return to action on Jan. 13 at the Indian Wells Invitational in Palm Springs, Calif.
