MURFREESBORO, Tenn. ? Kentucky?s Bruno Agostinelli and Alex Hume each posted victories on the second day of the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational to highlight a strong performance by the Wildcats on Saturday at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.

The freshman Agostinelli improved to 3-0 on the fall season after defeating Auburn?s Nick Lane in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2, to advance in the tournament. Agostinelli will face Ryan Preston of Vanderbilt at 9 a.m. Sunday. Preston was a 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 winner over Ole Miss? Christopher Rea Saturday.

Hume, after dropping his first match Friday, won two matches in straight sets Saturday to continue play in the tournament. The third-seeded Hume defeated James Spence of Memphis, 7-5, 6-4, before breezing past Louisville?s Jhonny Berrido, 6-2, 6-3. Hume will face Middle Tennessee State?s Marco Born at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Senior Nate Emge, seeded fourth, fell to top-seeded Erling Tveit of Ole Miss in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2 Saturday to conclude play in the MTSU Fall Invite.
