The University of Kentucky softball team will host a Sunday doubleheader against Lindsey Wilson on Sunday, Sept. 18, at the UK Softball Complex. The twinbill is set to start at 1 p.m., followed by game two at 3 p.m.

Second-year head coach Eileen Schmidt returns 12 players from the 2005 team that finished 20-41 on the year. Senior Meghan Cooper, Megan Glenn, Amy Kendall, Lori Melchi all return for the final season, while the Wildcats welcome six newcomers to the 2005 roster.

The Blue Raiders ended the 2004 season with a 23-27 record.

The Cats will wrap up the fall slate when they host Western Kentucky on Oct. 2 in a doubleheader.
