LEXINGTON, Ky. ? A handful of University of Kentucky field event athletes will travel to the Triton Invitational to compete Friday and Saturday in San Diego, Calif. The meet, hosted by the University of California San Diego, will be held at Triton Stadium.

Sophomore Andy Fryman, seniors Gennessa Guzman and Nicole Allyn and freshman Alek Grietens will compete for the Cats in the Golden State. Fryman is looking to improve on his two previous regional qualifying heaves in the shot put, while Guzman and Allyn have both performed well in the women?s hammer throw, recording regional qualifying tosses at the Mt. SAC Relays last weekend. Guzman also added a regional qualifying throw in the discus at the Baldy Castillo Invitational in Tempe, Ariz.
