The University of Kentucky softball team hits the road after a brief three-game homestand as it travels to Baton Rouge, La., to take on Southeastern Conference foe Louisiana State.

The Wildcats are now 16-29 on the year after defeating Eastern Kentucky earlier this week in shutout fashion. The Tigers own a 20-14 overall record and are ranked fifth in the SEC West with a 4-11 conference mark.

This marks the 16th meeting between the two schools. LSU has won every previous meeting in the series.

The three-game weekend series begins Saturday, Apr. 9, with a 2 p.m. doubleheader. The third and final contest will be played Sunday, Apr. 10, at 1 p.m.
