LEXINGTON, Ky.? Senior gymnast Michelle Gales has been named All-SEC second team announced by the Southeastern Conference. Gales finished tied for second on floor, with a score of 9.9, at the SEC Gymnastics Championship in Duluth, Ga.

The Atlanta, Ga., native has recorded six 9.9 or higher marks on floor this season, and 24 scores of 9.9 or higher on floor during her career at UK. Gales is tied for 14th in the nation on floor with a Regional Qualifying Score of 9.05. Her highest mark of the season, a 9.95, came on Mar. 4 vs. Michigan State and Central Michigan.
