Women's Basketball

For the second consecutive season, Kentucky women?s basketball senior Sara Potts was named to the All-Southeastern Conference second team announced by The Associated Press. She also was named to the All-SEC second team by the league coaches.

Potts, a native of Rochester Hills, Mich., ranks among the SEC?s best and leads Kentucky in several statistical categories. She currently leads the Cats in scoring with 14.7 points per game and is the teams? third-leading rebounder with 5.1 boards per game.

Potts holds almost all of UK?s three-point records, including most three-pointers in a game (7 vs. High Point and Chattanooga), most three-pointers in a season (76 in 2005) and most three-pointers in a career (266).

The 6-0 swing player has scored in double figures in 25 of 32 games this season, including a career-high 32 points vs. Chattanooga in the second round of the Women?s National Invitation Tournament. She has eight games with 20-plus points and currently sits at No. 4 on UK?s all-time scoring list with 1,503 career points.
