PINEHURST, N.C.- The University of Kentucky women?s golf team is tied for 14th after the first round of play at College of Charleston Edwin Watts/Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C.
UK shot a 325 for the first 18 holes, led by freshmen Elizabeth Dotson and Beth Felts who are tied for 31st after both shot opening rounds of 80 (41-39). Washington State?s Maria Kostina is atop the individual leaderboard, shooting an even round of 72, while East Carolina is in first at +14 (302).
Senior Katie Dixon recorded a first round 82 and sophomore Katie Johnson finished the first 18 holes with 83. Junior Ali Kicklighter rounded out the Kentucky five.
Monday?s 18-holes will consist of tee-time rounds beginning at 8 a.m., while Tuesday?s play will be an 18-hole shotgun start which will begin at 9:00 a.m.
