Michael Gray, defensive line coach at the University of Kentucky, has resigned at UK in order to accept a coaching position at another school, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.
Gray came to UK in Jan. 2003 and spent two seasons with the Wildcats. Under his guidance, defensive end Sweet Pea Burns led the Southeastern Conference in tackles for loss in 2003 and was named All-SEC. In addition, nose tackles Lamar Mills and Ricky Abren were named Freshman All-America in 2003 and 2004, respectively.
“Michael did a very good job for us. We’re sorry to lose him and wish him well,” Brooks said.
