The 11th-ranked Kentucky men (5-1, 2-1) and women (4-2, 2-1) look to keep their conference winning streak alive Saturday as the Cats travel to Columbia, S.C. to meet South Carolina. The meet is set for an 11 a.m. start at USC?s Carolina Natatorium.
The Cats enter the meet on the heels of decisive victories Thursday over LSU at UK?s Lancaster Aquatic Center. Kentucky swept the Gamecocks out of the Lancaster Aquatic Center a season ago, but the Cats haven?t won in Columbia in five seasons.
The trip to Columbia will serve as a homecoming of sorts for one Wildcat. Junior Brennan Moore is a native of Spartanburg, S.C. The meet is the final conference battle for the Kentucky men; the UK women will take on Arkansas next Saturday in their final SEC bout.
UK Men Move Up in CSCAA Rankings
The Kentucky men?s squad moved up a spot from No. 12 to No. 11 in the latest College Swim Coaches Association of America rankings. The ranking is the highest in the history of the program.
