Abdullah, Leger Earn Game Captain Roles: Junior free safety Muhammad Abdullah and freshman defensive lineman Jason Leger are the game captains for this week?s contest at Georgia, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.

Game captains are selected based on performance in the previous week?s game. Leger had a season-high eight tackles, including one for loss, in last Saturday?s game at Mississippi State. Abdullah had an interception, his third pickoff of the season, to go along with six tackles.

Abdullah and Leger will join permanent captains Shane Boyd and Sweet Pea Burns at the coin toss.

Alumni Big Blue Tailgate Tent Party on Saturday: The UK Alumni Association is sponsoring the ?Big Blue Tailgate Tent Party? beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday before the Georgia game.

The tent is located on the North side of the Stadium between Lexington Community College and the ?Will Call? ticket booth, between red and green lots. The cost is FREE to all MEMBERS of the UK Alumni Association and $10 for non-members. Get breakfast ? eggs. biscuits and sausage with juice, water or coffee. We?ll also send you to the game with blue and white pompoms, UK stickers and your game-day tattoo to complete your game-day wardrobe. David Hall will entertain with his cool jazz music. Game Day Honorees and Activities for the Georgia Game:

Fans are encouraged to welcome the team during the ?Cat Walk? outside Gate 1 of the stadium. The team will arrive at approximately 10:15 a.m. The ?Rally in the Alley? is a tailgate area for students, located between Commonwealth Stadium and Nutter Field House at gates 14 and 15. The ?Rally in the Alley? begins two hours before the game (10:30 a.m. for the Georgia game). Radio station 104.5 The Cat will be providing the music. The ?Wildcat Refuge? children?s play area, located outside Gate 9 of the stadium, opens at 10:30 a.m. Honorary captains Warren Bryant and Dusty Bonner will be available for autographs at the Wildcat Refuge from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The UK Marching Band will parade around the stadium, beginning at approximately one hour prior to kickoff. The band parade will begin at Gate 4 and end at Gate 9. At the end of the first quarter, UK President Dr. Lee T. Todd Jr. and First Lady Patsy Todd will honor the student volunteers who work at the UK College of Medicine?s Salvation Army Student-run Free Clinic. Established in 1986, the clinic offers free health care to those who can?t afford care. Approximately 30 faculty members from various departments volunteer their time at the clinic and most UK medical students participate in the clinic at some point in their medical school careers.
