WINDMERE, Fla. ?The University of Kentucky men?s golf team will continue fall play on Monday October, 25 at the First Annual Isleworth Invitational in Windermere, Fla. The first of Monday?s 36-holes begin at 8:30 a.m. with the final round play starting Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.

Kentucky?s talented team is set to compete against counterparts Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State and Clemson who help make up the top six in the Oct. 1 Golf World poll. The tournament field also boasts nine top-ten ranked teams, including Kentucky, as voted upon by the GCAA/Precept Division I Coaches Poll released Oct. 21.

Texas (11th), Vanderbilt (22nd) and Wake Forest (24th) are also ranked in the top 25 Golf World poll. Other teams participating include Central Florida, North Carolina, Augusta State, Florida State, Furman, NC State and Toledo.

Kentucky is coming off a first-place finish at the Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate, where Mark Blakefield claimed the individual title and was named SEC Men?s Golfer of the Week. The Wildcats claim top-10 team rankings by Golf World, Golf Week and the GCAA/Precept Division I Coaches Poll, as well as top-25 individual rankings for John Holmes and Mark Blakefield by Golf Week.
