UK senior Aibika Kalsarieva and sophomore teammates Kim Coventry and Sarah Foster earned a trip to the singles quarterfinal round of the ITA Southeast Regional Championships with round-of-16 victories Saturday in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The top-seeded Kalsarieva posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Jenny Klaschka of Middle Tennessee State and will meet N.C. State?s Barbara Orlay in the quarterfinals. The unseeded Coventry turned in a solid 6-3, 6-2 win over Wake Forest?s Katie Martzolf to set up a meeting with North Carolina?s Kendall Cline in the quarterfinals. Fifth-seeded Sarah Foster defeated Duke?s Clelia Deltour by a 6-4, 7-6 (3) margin and will battle Wake Forest?s third-seeded Karin Coetzee in Sunday?s quarterfinal. Kentucky is the only school with three players remaining in the quarterfinal field.

Kentucky also has a pair of doubles tandems in the doubles quarterfinals. Kalsarieva and Sarah Foster ousted Furman?s Caroline Bentley and Mary Hagood by an 8-5 count and will take on Duke?s Kristin Cargill and Jenny Zika on Sunday. Coventry and sophomore Joelle Schwenk dealt an 8-1 defeat to Katie Martzolf and Jenna Loeb of Wake Forest and will meet North Carolina?s Kendall Cline and Aniela Mojzis on Sunday.
