The University of Florida’s football game with Kentucky on Saturday, Sept. 25, will kick off at 11:30 a.m. ET due to the potential impact of Hurricane Jeanne, UF and Southeastern Conference officials announced Friday.

The game will be televised in the states of Florida, Kentucky and other selected areas by ESPN2.

“Given the information we currently have about Hurricane Jeanne, we have decided to move the time of our football game,” said UF Athletics Director Jeremy Foley. “Anyone in this region of the country is very aware of how sensitive we all need to be to state evacuation plans and the availability of medical and emergency personnel in this community and other areas of the state during the threat of a hurricane.”

“Once we decided to move the game, we worked closely with the University of Kentucky, league officials and our television partners to allow our fans to see the game on television. The 11:30 a.m. time slot was the only available slot for our fans to see the game.”
