Sweet Pea on the Media Preseason All-SEC Team: Defensive end Sweet Pea Burns has been named to the preseason All-Southeastern Conference Team selected by the media at the SEC Media Days in Birmingham, Ala.

Burns, who was named first-team All-SEC by four selectors a year ago, made 72 tackles in 2003 and led the SEC with 18 tackles for loss.

Burns also has been selected preseason first-team All-SEC by Blue Ribbon Magazine, Lindy’s Magazine, Phipps Magazine, Southeastern Football Saturdays, Birmingham News, Athlon Magazine, Street and Smith’s, and the SEC Coaches.

Burns, quarterback Shane Boyd, and Coach Rich Brooks represented the Wildcats at the SEC Media Days, which concluded on Thursday.
