UK rifle senior Melody Cook has been selected as a 2004 State Farm Insurance Postgraduate Scholarship recipient.

Cook, a Eubank, Ky., native, earned the award by way of her performance in the classroom and her commitment to community service and athletic participation. She is on track to earn a bachelor?s of business administration degree in accounting and management and will pursue a master?s degree in business administration at the University of Kentucky.

Cook is a four-year UK rifle letter winner and started on Kentucky?s 2001 and 2002 NCAA Runner-Up teams. Also a Singletary Scholar award recipient, she is a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll and UK?s prestigious Frank G. Ham Society of Character.
