BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ? Kentucky junior golfer Jack Hudson was named to the 2004 Southeastern Conference Men?s Golf Good Works Team Monday announced by the league office. The SEC sponsors Good Works Teams for all 20 league sponsored sports. The Good Works Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
Hudson is a junior sociology major from Greensburg, Ky., who is very active in the community. Hudson participated in the 2003 Alzheimer’s Memory Walk, and volunteered at the 2002 & 2003 UK Athletics Food Drive to benefit God’s Pantry. He also was a volunteer at the Lexington Habitat for Humanity and the Lexington Children’s Museum. He also participated in the 2002 YMCA Halloween Party.
Hudson is also a standout in the classroom as well. He was named Academic All-SEC in 2002 and made the Athletics Directors Honor Roll.
