The Kentucky junior varsity women’s golf sits in seventh place after two rounds at the EKU Lady Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky. Stacy Springer shot up the leader board on Friday with a 76, leaving her in a tie for 11th going in to the last round of play.
Maggie Gableman also improved her ranking Friday, carding a 78 for a 161 36-hole score. Katie Johnson and Alanna Silvertrust are also competing for the Cats. Johnson is currently in a tie for 42nd place with a 166, while Silvertrust fell to a tie for 46th with her second round score of 87.
UK is 37 shots behind leader Murray State. The Eagles’ Cuyler Hedley held onto first place Friday after shooting a 74 in the second 18 holes.
The Cats wrap up tournament play tomorrow with the final round at the Arlington Golf Course.
