BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Four University of Kentucky gymnasts team were named to the the 2003-04 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll, Monday by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. Kentucky boasted 29 student-athletes on the list.

Juniors Lindsay Cameron, Kara Prestigiacomo and Krista Prestigiacomo, along with sophomore Staci O?Keefe were the four Kentucky gymnasts that made the list.

Cameron is a journalism major from Cookeville, Tenn. She was a major contributor for the Cats this season as a vault specialist. Kara Prestigiacomo is a nutrition major who plans to switch to nursing next fall. She has maintained a perfect 4.00 grade point average throughout her time at UK. The Atlanta, Ga., native competed on vault and beam for the Wildcats this season.

Her twin sister, Krista Prestigiacomo, is a management and marketing double major. Krista did not compete this season after suffering a concussion in pre-season training. Cameron and the Prestigiacomo twins received All-SEC academic honors for the second time in their respective careers at UK.

O?Keefe, a journalism major from Littleton, Colo. She was one of Kentucky?s top bars performers in 2004.

The 2003-04 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2003 Spring, Summer and Fall terms.
