Eva Gessner and Ali Kicklighter each carded rounds of 79 to lead the Cats after one round of golf at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga. The Cats are in 18th with a team score of 322 after the first 18 holes at the University of Georgia Golf Course.

Gessner and Kicklighter are 13 shots off the lead after day one and currently sit in a tie for 62nd at the prestigious tournament. 12 individuals from the 18-team tournament shot at or below the par 72, led by Duke?s Brittany Lang, who carded a six-under 66 on Friday.

Erin Faulkner shot an 81 on the day to end in a tie for 77th, and Emily Culbertson and Marissa Muir registered scores of 83 and 90, respectively, to round out UK?s lineup.

Ohio State leads the tournament with a team score of 291. Host Georgia and Golfweek?s top-rated team, Duke, are tied for second at 292.
