LEXINGTON, Ky. ? No. 24 Kentucky will begin play at the 2004 Hyatt/Puerto Rico Intercollegiate, Sunday March 7, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The 54-hole tournament, which takes place at the Dorado Beach Golf Club, is hosted by Georgia State University and features seven teams, including SEC foe, Vanderbilt.

Kentucky has finished in the top-10 of all six of its tournaments this year. The Cats downed then No. 3 Georgia, No. 8 Augusta State and No. 10 North Carolina on their way to an eighth-place finish in their last outing, the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Juniors John Holmes and Mark Blakefield have been Kentucky?s most consistent performers this year. Holmes is ranked No. 13 in the country by Golf Week Magazine, and Blakefield has a 72.69 stroke average, the best in his three years at Kentucky.

Golfers will tee off at 7:40 a.m. each day of the tournament with the first round on Sunday, March 7, the second round on Monday, March 8, and the final round on Tuesday, March 9.
