The Kentucky women?s basketball team will battle the South Carolina Gamecocks on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. ET in the Wildcats? home finale. Although UK honored its six seniors on Sunday vs. Alabama, Thursday?s game marks the players? final game in Memorial Coliseum.

This is the 32nd meeting in the all-time series vs. South Carolina, the second matchup this season. The Cats lead the overall series 18-13 after defeating the Gamecocks earlier this season in Columbia, 75-61.

?We are excited about the South Carolina game, especially coming off a win against Alabama,? UK Coach Mickie DeMoss said. ?It appears that they have been playing better since we played them earlier in the year. Their leading scorer, Kelly Morrone, is leading the conference in three-point shooting and (Cristina) Ciocan has had a very good career. They have been a mystery team, to me, because they are very talented. They are the type of team that on a given night they could really play well. This is the last official home game for our seniors and we?re excited. We?re looking forward to a big game and a big crowd.?

The Cats (10-15, 2-10 Southeastern Conference) are looking for their second straight conference win after defeating Alabama on Sunday. Four Wildcats scored in double figures led by freshman Angela Phillips? 14 points. Seniors SeSe Helm and Shambrica Jones contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively and Sara Potts added 10.

The Gamecocks (10-15, 1-11 SEC) are currently 12th in the conference and have lost 14 of their last 16 games, including a 73-50 loss to Georgia on Sunday. Freshman Lauren Simms and Morrone led USC with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Morrone is USC?s leading scorer with 12.2 points per game. Ciocan and Simms follow with 10.5 and 10.3 ppg, respectively.

Sara Potts became the all-time leading three-point shooter with 178 career threes. Potts also is moving her way up the scoring charts. The junior needs just 31 points to become the 24th member of UK?s 1,000-point club.

The Cats are 22-8 all-time in home finales.
