The 12th-ranked University of Kentucky women?s tennis team (7-4) looks to return to its winning ways this weekend as the Cats travel to the Hoosier State for match-ups against Purdue (3-3) and Indiana (4-2). The Cats take on the 46th-ranked Boilermakers at 1 p.m. ET Saturday in West Lafayette before meeting the 36th-ranked Hoosiers Sunday at 10 a.m. ET in Bloomington. The pair of matches marks the first road dual matches of the season for Kentucky.
Kentucky posted 7-0 victories over Purdue and Indiana a season ago in Lexington, though each opponent appears to be much improved in 2004. The Hoosiers feature 81st-ranked Linda Tran and 48th-ranked Dora Vastag. Tran teams up with Karie Schlukebir to form the nation?s 24th-ranked doubles tandem. The Cats own a 15-1 series advantage over Purdue and a 15-12 overall advantage over Indiana.
The Cats are coming off of a 6-1 loss last Saturday against ninth-ranked North Carolina in Lexington.
