GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Bernice Mosby scored 13 points and Vanessa Hayden added 11 to lift No. 24 Florida to its fifth consecutive victory, 76-56 over Kentucky on Sunday.

Ranked for the first time in two seasons, the Gators (16-5, 6-2 Southeastern Conference) wasted little time justifying their newfound status. They used a 33-7 run early in the game to take the lead for good.

Kentucky’s SeSe Helm scored 27 points, including 17 in a five-minute stretch beginning late in the first half and ending early in the second.

She helped the Wildcats (9-14, 1-9) close the gap to 45-33 with about 15 minutes left, but Florida responded with a 15-2 run to seal its most lopsided win of the season.

Kentucky avoided its worst loss this season _ 21 points to Georgia _ by finishing the game with an 8-0 spurt.

Twelve Florida players scored in a balanced effort as coach Carolyn Peck went to her bench early.

Reserve Tara Taylor scored all 10 of her points in the first half, and Mosby scored her 13 in the second half.
